How can we help?
Write to us at hello@pacelings.com. We read every message and usually answer within two days. Please tell us your iPhone model, iOS version and, if it's about the watch, your Apple Watch.
Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app, answer a few questions about your running, and your plan and Paceling are ready.
Do I need Apple Health access?
No, but it helps. With Health, Pacelings starts your plan from your recent runs and imports runs from other apps. Without it, you can record runs in the app or log them by hand.
Which plans are there?
Race plans from 5 km to the marathon, getting fitter over time, getting faster with a test run, running further with a growing long run, and a run walk plan for beginners.
Your plan
How do I change my plan?
In the Plan tab, tap the menu at the top, then Manage Plan. You can change your goal, experience, training days and start, or start a new plan. Your Paceling, runs and postcards stay.
Something hurts. What should I do?
Tell Pacelings after the run. Your plan gets lighter right away. If it happens twice in two weeks, Pacelings suggests a break and a check with a doctor or physiotherapist.
I missed a run.
That's fine. Missed runs never cost points. Your Paceling waits for you at its station.
Apple Watch
The watch app shows no plan.
Open Pacelings on your iPhone once with the watch nearby. The iPhone sends your plan to the watch, after that the watch works on its own.
Can I run without my iPhone?
Yes. The watch records on its own and saves the run to Health. The iPhone picks it up later.
Blood glucose
How do I turn it on?
Settings, Running & Health, Show Blood Glucose. Pacelings then asks to read blood glucose from Health.
I see no values during my run.
Pacelings shows what's in Apple Health. Your CGM app has to write to Health. Some apps write in real time, others later; the Dexcom G7 app writes with a three hour delay.
Can Pacelings warn me about lows?
No. Pacelings only shows values and is not a medical device. Please use your CGM app or receiver for alarms.
Your data
How do I get my data onto a new iPhone?
Your plan, Paceling and postcards come back through iCloud. Runs come back through Health and your iPhone backup.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Data in Health stays in Health, where you can delete it too. iCloud data can be removed in the iPhone Settings under your name, iCloud, Manage Storage.
